About Heritage Media
Hi, we're Mark and Brianna Messick, based in Durham, NC.
We both grew up with a passion for making home videos, for better (occasionally) or for worse (usually).
In our professional lives we've filmed everything from commercials to mini-documentaries to vlogs to home births.
So why did we start Heritage Media?
The idea came as Brianna's dad received a terminal cancer diagnosis and his health rapidly declined.
We realized that while our 1 year-old son wouldn't have any memories of his grandpa, we could record videos to share with him as he grows up.
So out came the cameras and Brianna's dad was able to record some messages for our son through his oxygen mask.
Our only regret is that we didn't get to capture more of his life story in his own words before he was sick.
And while we can't go back and change the past, we're thrilled that we get to help others document the life stories of those they love most while they're here to tell it in their own words.
